Young scholarly negro

Darius “Y$N” Williams is a self proclaimed Jack of All Trades. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, he grew up an avid hip-hop enthusiast with a deep interest in its history and culture.

As a recent graduate from The University of Tennessee - Knoxville, he manages his own career as a radio personality, recording artist, emcee, and DJ.

His rise to stardom began at age 16 when he worked as a DJ at his local skating rink. From there, he started experimenting with music in his free time to which he developed quite a liking for.

He released his first project ,Y$N Begins, while still in high school. This eventually spawned his signature Code Red mixtape series. The most recent installment of the series, Code Red 4, was released December 25th, 2018.

After graduating high school in 2016, Y$N began attending The University of Tennessee - Knoxville. It was here where his journey as a radio personality began.

Y$N started as a student volunteer at UT’s campus radio station, WUTK 90.3 FM The Rock. He worked his way up to co-host for the station’s weekly specialty program, The Edutainment Hip Hop Show, in 2017 and has been a familiar voice on the show since.

Outside of the studio and the station, Y$N works as an emcee/DJ. He began regularly hosting parties in the Nashville area in mid-2018 which has led him to land gigs in different places such as Birmingham, Memphis, Gulf Shores, and Indiana.

Y$N has come a long way from his humble days at the skating rink, however, his journey is far from over. He prides himself on learning new skills and taking on new challenges and is destined to be the next big thing in media and entertainment.

Y$N lives, works and podcasts from Knoxville, Tennessee and is available to travel for event bookings.
